It's finally a new year!
2010 has been a great year, but I'm definitely ready to take some steps forward and just 'refresh'. I can't wait to see what 2011 has in store for me. I'm incredibly blessed to have my friends and family by my side. I usually don't make New Year's Resolutions, but I've made a list of things I definitely want to accomplish in 2011.

1. Blog more, stress less.
2. Crack open that book case full of 'deep' books not 'fun' books.
3. Experiment in cooking (wean off microwave).
4. Embrace change and try new things.
5. Visit a foreign country.
6. Create a more 'European' style for myself.
7. Experience more, Facebook less.
8. Grow out my hair.
9. Use colorful lipstick more often.
10. Give more and never question myself.

breast cancer awareness month

As most of you have probably aleady, Ralph Lauren has selected 100 bloggers to model for the 10th Anniversary of the Pink Pony Foundation. This year, an auction is being held where one can bid on items such as front row seats or runway lessons from Valentina (pictured above). The funds will be donated to research. You can also shop online at 25% off and 10% will be donated to research.

Ralph Lauren is not the only store to donate to breast cancer research. Estee Lauder has a pink ribbon collection for breast cancer awareness. Estee Lauder also plans to make a $500,000 donation to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. These are not the only two companies supporting breast cancer awareness, so please find some way to contribute!

labor day weekend

This Labor Day weekend, I attended one of my family member's wedding. It was great to see all of my family, especially those who I had not seen in a while. We had a pre-wedding barbeque the night before, followed by a beautiful ceremony. Enjoy!

the september issue

As much as I love Halle Berry, I'm completely not surprised to see her on the U.S. Vogue September issue. The magazine has not had a model on the cover in what seems like forever! The last September issue with models featured was back in 2004, with Daria Werbowy, Natalia Vodianova, and Gisele Bundchen.
I'm tired of seeing celebrities! It seems that every time one of their movies comes out they grace at least three different covers.

Yesterday, I had a mini movie night. My Life in Ruins and Revolutionary Road both happened to be on some of my movie channels, and spent my night watching both. My Life in Ruins is a great romantic-comedy, while Revolutionary Road is a fantastic drama. Kate Winslet gives a great performance. What are some of your favorite movies?
